Jean Simon was born in some place in Normandy (A French region) in 1675 and he died in London in 1755. He was an engraver using the burin and the mezzotint’s techniques.
He worked with the burin while he was live in France, but when he moving to England (about 1710) he adopted the mezzotint’s as usual technique for engraving.
He worked for the publisher Goddfrey Kneller in London.
